Town Hall Meeting Mark your calendars now for Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 pm!! St Francis is one of twelve sites selected for a series of Town Hall meetings with our new bishop, Andy Doyle. Bishop Doyle has announced an extensive schedule of Town Hall meetings for the purpose of “discerning our mission priorities.” He plans to spend time getting to know the members of the diocese and listening to their opinions about the goals and future work of the Church in the diocese. |

The Cursillo of Faith and Love will be held on June 18th through the 21st at Camp Allen near Navasota, Texas. Cursillistas - talk to people about your wonderful experience at Cursillo, and sponsor your friends! Sign up info is in the Parish Hall. |

THANKS FROM THE EAST TEXAS Letter to St. Francis from the ETRM of Tyler dated May 4, 2009: “We celebrated our one year anniversary on April 28th, when we purchased our building at 1023 Glenwood Boulevard. If you haven’t visited East Texas Rescue Mission, I would invite you to come for a tour and see the good things that are happening here. We are averaging between 62 and 65 men per night and serving approximately 280 meals a day. We have gospel services every night given by area pastors and laypeople, and are trusting that God’s Word will not return unto Him void, but will touch the hearts of the homeless. Thank you, again, for your gift. We appreciate your thoughtfulness to the poor and hurting people of Tyler and East Texas. In His service, Rev. H. Tony Chung President”
