So Much More than a BIG Yard Sale |

MAY 9th |

But the sale is about far more than a new roof. It’s about providing goods at bargain prices to the buyers. Times are tough now. Jobs have been lost. Most businesses’ sales have declined. Those on fixed incomes are struggling. Our sale will provide people with books and magazines to read, music to enjoy, linens for their bath or kitchen, toys for the children, tools to help get a new job, clothing for work, play, and growing children. Our cakes, cookies, and pies will raise people’s spirits to be able to afford quality goodies well below bakery prices. Our hot dog lunch will be the biggest value in town! The sale is about sharing with our neighbors and welcoming our community to our spiritual home. |
|
But the sale is far more than a roof and community. It’s about fellowship as we pull together, working, kidding around, and putting on more and more price tags! At the sale it’s a chance for visitors to see what friendly, helpful, and fun-filled folks belong to St. Francis. And guess what? The financial goal, the community sharing, and the fellowship provide an opportunity to fulfill our mission to love one another and to serve God’s kingdom on earth. What could be more important than that? |
