Camp E.D.G. E is not your typical stroll through the woods. It’s an action-packed, adrenaline-filled expedition to an Extreme Adventure Camp that teaches kids that their strength and might come from God.” This year Vacation Bible School begins Sunday, July 26th and continues through Thursday, July 30th from 6:00-8:30pm. Children ages 3 up to those who have just completed grade six are invited to participate. Friends, family and neighbors are all welcome, even if they call another church home. Each night there will be movies for adults and fun for kids. You won’t want to miss the fun!! Dinner will be served daily for everyone, a donation of $5 for adults and $3 for kids is requested to help cover the cost. On Sunday, the opening night of VBS, there will be a hamburger supper at 5:00. For the rest of the week, supper will be served at 5:30. The menus for the rest of the week include spaghetti and salad on Monday; hotdogs and baked beans on Tuesday; chicken nuggets, tater tots, and macaroni and cheese with salad on Wednesday; with pizza on the last night of VBS. Each evening through crafts, music, storytelling and games the children will Experience and Discover God Everywhere. They will learn the E.D.G.E. |

pledge for the evening, hear about biblical treks and learn Bible verses about God. On Sunday, the first night of VBS the children will learn: “God is with me. I will stay close to God.” They will hear the story of the “Trek to the Promised Land” and learn a bible verse from Isaiah. On Monday, they will learn: “God guides me. I will follow.” They will hear the story of the Trek to Bethlehem and learn another scripture verse from Isaiah. On Tuesday, they will learn: “God teaches me. I will learn.” They will hear the story of the Trek to Pharisee’s House and learn a verse from the Gospel of John. On Wednesday, the children will learn: “God loves me. I will love God and others.” They will hear of the Trek to the Upper Room and learn another verse from the Gospel of John. On Thursday, they will learn: “God sends me. I will go.” The children will learn a passage from the Gospel of Mark. On the last night the children will have a closing program to share what they have learned with family and friends. They will be singing some of the songs that they have learned. |
