Our Vacation Bible School Camp E.D.G.E. this year was so exciting!  A lot of people worked very hard to get everything coordinated, all the decorations done, equipment supplied, the food prepared, every house in the neighborhood notified, and everything else that it took to create a very special event for this summer.  This week would not have happened without each and every one of these wonderfully dedicated people.  Many thanks for all your hard work and dedication to the children of our St. Francis community!  Watch in the upcoming September Journal for photos of this great event.

St. Francis’ 2009 Operation Back to School will get underway on July 19.  As last year, please take a card from the poster and place your name on the Sign-Up Sheet indicating which grade you are taking. The Outreach Committee uses the “Sign-Up Sheet” to check off the back-packs to see if any are late or missing.

THE LIST OF SUPPLIES FOR THE GRADE YOU PICK IS PRINTED ON THE BACK OF THE CARD.  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU ATTACH THE CARD TO THE BACKPACK IN A VISIBLE LOCATION.

Operation Back to School and Polo Shirt

NOW WHAT IS THIS “STUFF” ABOUT POLO SHIRTS?  There is NOT a sign-up for polo shirts.  Anyone may bring a new polo shirt whether or not you sign-up for a backpack & supplies. 

COLORS & SIZES:  Please bring any children’s size between 6 and 12. Most, if not all, of the elementary schools have a dress code therefore only certain SOLID colors will be acceptable. Please choose any of the following colors:  Navy Blue, Khaki, Maroon, Burgundy, White, Black, Red or Gray.

WHEN TO BRING BACKPACKS AND POLO SHIRTS: Bring them only on Sunday, August 9. There just is not room to store them at St. Francis before that date.  If you will not be here that Sunday, please call Mona Poe (903-561-5623) and she will make arrangements to take your things earlier.
